A woman accused in the death of her twin sister on Maui was arrested in New York on Monday after police say she nearly struck an investigator's car while intoxicated.
According to WBNG News, 37-year-old Alexandria Duval was pulled over after she drifted and almost struck a police vehicle. She was also seen driving too closely to another vehicle ahead of hers while continuing to cross center lines.
Duval was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .26 percent, among other traffic violations. She was driving with a valid Hawaii driver's license.
She was not wearing a seatbelt at the time.
Her court date is scheduled for Aug. 23.
Witnesses said the two women were fighting before the crash. That's when the Ford Explorer suddenly plunged 200 feet down the cliff off Hana Highway.
