Forecast: Wet weather kicking off the week for some parts of the state

Wet weather windward and mauka this morning. Showers have briefly been moderate to heavy in isolated areas. Drive with caution coming over the Koolau and in east Honolulu.

The afternoon should be mostly sunny leeward, partly sunny windward. High in Honolulu 87 degrees. Trade winds will pick up after lunch and be 15-20 mph.

Surf is dropping all around, but is still slightly elevated along east shores. A small, long-period south swell is expected tomorrow. Surf forecast for today: 2-4 feet east, 1-3 feet south, 0-2 feet north and west.

Small Craft Advisory for Maalaea Bay, along with Pailolo and Alenuihaha channels.
