A Flood Advisory has been cancelled for leeward areas of the Big Island as heavy showers have diminished.
The advisory was posted for the area from Waikoloa down to Honaunau. At one point rain was falling at a rate of two inches per hour.
The heavy showers were the result of an upper level disturbance to the northwest of the state. The disturbance is forecast to move away Monday, and while there are more showers in the forecast Monday afternoon for the area, the rainfall should not be as heavy.
