Forecast: Look up at the sky for the Perseid meteor shower!

Breezy, beautiful, trade wind weather as we approach the weekend!

Temperatures will be just a little cooler today. The high in Honolulu about 87 degrees. Only a few passing showers in the forecast and most of those will fall on windward/mauka neighborhoods.

Weather should be pretty good tonight for viewing the Perseid meteor shower. The peak will come from midnight tonight until sunrise Friday. Find a place with as little environmental light as possible then look up in the eastern sky.

Surf is slightly elevated along east shores. Otherwise it's small all around. Thursday surf will be 3-5 feet east, 1-3 feet south, 1-2 feet north and west.

Small Craft Advisory extended to Friday morning for the Pailolo and Alenuihaha channels, Maalaea Bay, and coastal waters south and west of the Big Island.
