Diamond Head Rd. reopened after car slams into fire hydrant, wall

Honolulu police closed a portion of Diamond Head Road early Wednesday after a car slammed into a fire hydrant and a wall.

The crash happened around 2:45 a.m., prompting police to close the road near Makalei Place near Kapiolani Park.

According to police, the car was traveling east on Diamond Head Road before crashing, though it's not clear what caused the crash.

No serious injuries were reported.
