Forecast: Sunny skies, trade winds expected this afternoon

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Still sticky outside, but cooling trade winds should help by afternoon. Showers are dampening windward and mauka neighborhoods this morning. Sunny skies expected by mid-day.

High in Honolulu will be 89 degrees.

Surf is slightly elevated east and south. National Weather Service surf forecast 4-6 feet east, 2-4 feet south, 1-3 feet west, 0-2 feet north.

Small Craft Advisory for the Pailolo and Alenuihaha channels, Maalaea Bay and coastal waters south and west of the Big Island.
