Forecast: A few more windward showers to start the week

Somewhat wetter than normal trade wind weather is expected Sunday into Monday, with most of the showers for windward and mauka areas. There may be some isolated downpours, but we're not expecting flooding. The weather should start to dry out late Monday, with fewer showers Tuesday and Wednesday before another batch of moisture from former Hurricane Frank arrives in the islands later in the week.

A southwest swell will boost the surf along those shores Sunday but waves should remain below advisory levels. Another south swell is forecast to arrive Wednesday. The trade wind swell along east-facing shores is declining, but conditions will remain pretty choppy.
