HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - One last breezy trade wind weather day, then changes. Winds today will peak at 15-25 mph.

Passing showers are a little more evident this morning compared to other days this week.

Skies will be mostly sunny by afternoon with a high of 89 expected in Honolulu.

An upper level disturbance along with remnant moisture from Georgette will combine to ease our winds and bring more clouds and showers to the islands over the weekend. There will be sunshine, just not as much.

Leeward beaches will be your best bet for blue sky Saturday and Sunday. Surf is elevated along east shores with the strong winds. Use extreme caution along east-facing shores. National Weather Service surf forecast: 5-7 feet east, 2-4 feet with some higher sets south shore, 1-3 feet west, less than 3 feet north.

Small Craft Advisory continues until 6:00 p.m. this evening for all Hawaii waters.
