KALIHI, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Honolulu Fire Department responded to nearly 80 incidents caused by Tropical Storm Darby on Sunday, a fire official said.
Most of the incidents happened sometime between 5:30 p.m. and midnight, primarily in southern and windward Oahu.
HFD said crews responded to 59 water evacuations or flooding, 28 of which were in the Kalihi area. They also assisted with three blown roofs or downed trees; 12 electrical hazards like downed power lines and arcing wires; and five other hazards such as landslides and road debris.
Darby passed south of Oahu on Sunday as a tropical storm, causing major flooding conditions to the island, especially in the evening hours.
