Thunderstorms knock power across Oahu

WAIKIKI (HawaiiNewsNow) - Intense thunderstorms in the wake of Tropical Storm Darby's center passing south of Oahu knocked power to thousands of customers Sunday night and Monday morning.

Although most outages that happened overnight have been restored, the Hawaiian Electric Company is still responding to the following:

Moiliili area:

1,300 customers without power.

Downtown area:

About 12 customers without power.

Crews are working to restore power as quickly as possible.
