HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

The Flash Flood Warning for Oahu has been canceled as Tropical Storm Darby continued moving away from the Hawaiian islands.

The warning was originally issued Sunday night and was extended throughout the evening, but the National Weather Service canceled it around 5 a.m. Monday.

Flash flooding was reported in several locations, including the H-1 Freeway, where cars stalled in the flooded road and police shut down the westbound lanes near School Street.

"This is a dangerous situation with damage likely to occur in the areas which are typically susceptible to flooding," said the National Weather Service.

Intense thunderstorms were also reported on Sunday, triggering power outages.
