MAUI (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Flash Flood Warning for Maui County expired at12:15 p.m. Sunday.
At 9:15 a.m., radars picked up heavy rain falling over East Maui from Kihei to Makena to Kaupo. This includes Upcountry areas near Ulupalakua.
By noon, heavy rain over east Maui tapered off with the threat of flooding no longer expected.
Showers will continue to impact the island until Monday. A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through Sunday night.
