Flash Flood Warning for Hawaii Island expires

HILO, HAWAII (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Flash Flood Warning that was in effect for the Big Island expired Sunday morning.

At 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, radar showed heavy bands of rain that were expected to spread over the Kau district.

Locations in the warning included Hilo, Pahoa, Mountain View, Glenwood, Pahala, and Naalehu.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring in streams, roads and low-lying areas.
