HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Tradewind conditions will hold through Friday with just a few light passing showers, mainly for windward neighborhoods. Leeward sides will be mostly dry with abundant sunshine.
TROPICAL STORM DARBY continues to march toward the state and could bring impacts this weekend. Tropical storm force winds might affect the Big Island and Maui as early as Friday through Sunday. Heavy rain and large surf are also possibilities, but those effects are dependent on where the storm goes. The Central Pacific Hurricane Center has DARBY taking a hard right turn north Friday avoiding a direct hit in the Big Island, but the track may still change over time, so stay tuned and get prepared.
The surf will be elevated on east shores from DARBY'S swell through the weekend.
