Forecast: Remnants of Celia responsible for humidity, high surf

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Light winds and increasingly humid for your Monday. The remnants of Celia are about 300 miles to the northeast of Honolulu and responsible for the very sticky conditions that are developing.

Sea breezes will develop in the afternoon and showers could follow -- some could be heavy.

High today in Honolulu will be an uncomfortable 88 degrees.

Surf is dangerously elevated along east shores. Please stay well back from tidepools and rocky coastlines with eastern exposure.

National Weather Service surf forecast today: 6-10 feet east, 3-6 feet north, 2-4 feet south, 1-3 feet west.

High Surf Advisory for all east-facing shores.

Small Craft Advisory for waters around Kauai and Oahu exposed to rough seas caused by Celia.

Gale Warning for all waters more that 40 nautical miles offshore.
