HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

No trade winds, just very light winds this morning with sea breezes likely after lunch time. It will be a sticky day without our natural air conditioning. The temperature in Honolulu will peak around 89 degrees. We will experience occasional showers today.

Trade winds return tomorrow and bring wetter weather with them. It isn't expected to be anything dramatic, but the remnants of former hurricane Blas will dampen us on Friday.

Surf is coming up today on the south side. A new south-southwest swell will peak Friday and stay below advisory levels. Energy from Tropical Storm Celia will create advisory-sized surf along east shores this weekend. The National Weather Service forecast for today: 3-5 feet east, building to 3-5 feet south, building to 2-4 feet west, 1-3 feet north.

No marine or weather advisories posted.
