HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - You probably remember her as the advice giving "Sue" in the hit movie "50 First Dates" with Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler that was shot in Hawaii. Actress Amy Hill has been in show business for a lot longer than that. She got her first breakout role in "All-American Girl" in 1994 and she hasn't stopped yet.
Currently, she stars in two series. "Unreal" is a scripted show based on the behind-the-scenes stories from "The Bachelor". She plays a therapist who finds out the characters vulnerabilities in order to report them back to the producers of the show. They then use that information to exploit the characters' weaknesses. She is also working on the dark comedy "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" which is about a Filipino-American family.
Hill likes to vacation in Hawaii. For those who are starting out in the business, she advises them not to run to Los Angeles. Instead, she said to stay in Hawaii and work on smaller productions here. That way, you can earn your SAG card and get some experience before you hit the big league.
