HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Light winds, a few showers, and very warm temperatures for your Wednesday. High in Honolulu is forecast to be 89 degrees. With the breezy trades gone, it could feel much warmer than the numbers indicate. Drink plenty of water and put on the sunscreen. The UV index is an extreme 13 today.

Surf is mellow today with new swells both east and south coming later this week. South side surf will approach advisory levels late Thursday and Friday. East shores will pop up to advisory levels this weekend due to energy from former hurricane Celia. Today's National Weather Service surf forecast: 3-5 feet east, 2-4 feet south, 1-3 feet west and north.

No marine or weather advisories are posted.
