HILO, BIG ISLAND (HawaiiNewsNow) - A Big Island woman arrested in Las Vegas in connection to the 2009 murder of a 21-year-old woman was extradited to Hawaii on Monday, police said.
U.S. Marshals arrested Patricia Wong, also known as Patricia Hanoa, on June 27 near Tropicana and Paradise Road. The 54-year-old was charged for second-degree murder in the death of Kaycee Smith, who was found with a single gunshot wound to her head on June 30, 2009.
Wong's bail was set at $250,000.
Wong is being held at the Hilo police cellblock pending her initial court appearance on Tuesday.
