HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Light tradewinds are forecast to persist through the week. Rainfall is expected to increase slightly tonight and tomorrow morning from the leftovers from former Tropical Storm Agatha.

The next best chance for rain could be from the remnants of former hurricane Blas which could bring more showers Thursday night into Friday. Hurricane Celia is about 1,950 miles east-southeast of the Hilo. Next week's weather will depend on the cyclone's track, but it is still too soon to tell exactly what to expect.

At the beach, surf remains just below advisory levels on east shores as a swell from Blas fades away. Surf could head up later this week due to Celia. South and west shores are also headed downward, with the next small to moderate south swell expected Thursday or Friday.
