LIST: Drive-thru voter registration events held statewide

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Office of Elections is holding drive-thru voter registration events statewide ahead of the deadline to help boost voter participation.

The drive-up events will allow voters to register or update their registration with help from an election official. Completed registration forms are also accepted at these locations.

Drive-thru Voter Registration locations open on July 13 and 14
Hawaii Island
Location:        Bayfront (Hilo), Kmart (Kona), Malama Market (Pahoa)                        
Hours:            9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.                       
Location:        Baldwin High School Auditorium
Hours:            8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Location:        Office of County Clerk, Elections Division 
Hours:            8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Location:        Hawaii State Capitol (front of the capitol facing Beretania St.) 
Hours:            8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
The deadline to register to vote in the primary election is July 14 with the election taking place on Saturday, August 13.

To be eligible to register to vote, you must be a U.S. Citizen, a Hawaii resident and at least 18 years old.
