KANEOHE, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A 93-year-old woman died on Friday after a car collision on Thursday, June 30.
She was identified by the Medical Examiner's Office as Maria Artis. The cause of her death is still pending.
Artis was a passenger in a Nissan Versa driven by a 72-year-old woman when they were struck by a Toyota Camry being driven by a 65-year-old woman.
The crash, which is still under investigation, happened on Pali Highway near Castle Junction.
The 93-year-old woman was taken to Queen's Medical Center in good condition where she later died.
There have been 29 fatal car collisions so far in 2016, compared to 28 at this time in 2015.
