HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A few passing showers then plentiful sunshine. It will be another hot, summer day.

The high in Honolulu will be around 89. The trade winds will blow at 10-20 mph.

There are now two named storms in the East Pacific. Tropical Storm Celia has formed right behind Hurricane Blas. Both are still far away, but we will continue to monitor them closely here at your Severe Weather Station, Hawaii News Now.

Surf is building along south shores this morning and a sizeable east swell is expected tomorrow. The National Weather Service surf forecast for today: 6-9 feet south, 4-7 feet west, 3-5 feet east, 1 foot or less north.

High Surf Advisory for all south-facing shores.

Small Craft Advisory for the Pailolo and Alenuihaha channels, along with coastal waters south and west of the Big Island.
