HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Yesterday we were live out at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Kahanamoku Lagoon where the blessing for Season 7 of Hawaii Five-0 was being held.  Most of the principals on the show were in attendance with a lot of the filming crew greeting each other with hugs, handshakes and telling each other welcome back; a beautiful morning with a great view of Leahi in the background.
But we were also streaming on Facebook Live; Alex O'Loughlin was surprised at all of the reaction as we interviewed him separately for the Facebook audience.  Along with the many hearts and likes streaming across the screen, it reached according to Facebook, some 979,000 people who left about 1600 comments and 408 shares.  We're expecting those numbers to go up today...and Grace Park commented during our interviews how she just wants to make a quality television show.
It was interesting in talking to Grace Park...we took her over for the Facebook LIVE interview after we talked to her here on Sunrise; we had to explain to her what Facebook LIVE is....

Congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Wilson!  Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson finally married R&B star Ciara.  The couple tied-the-knot over the weekend in front of family and friends at Peckforton Castle in Liverpool, England.  Ciara wore a custom Roberto Cavalli gown.  Ciara posted this picture on Instagram which captures them after they exchanged their vows.  The caption read "We are the Wilsons."

Earth Wind and Fire is coming back to Hawaii.  The band.... known for it's disco, soul, funk...is returning for a special one-night only engagement at the Neal Blaisdell Arena on September 27th.  Special Kama'aina pre-sale tickets go on sale Monday, July 11th at 10:00 A.M. Marvel's next "IronMan" is a black teenage girl - Riri Williams!  Time reports that Riri is a science genius. who enrolls in M-I-T at 15 years old.  She reverse engineered her own Iron Man suit in her dorm room.  Lots of comic books have been becoming more diverse.  There's now a female Thor... and a latino Spider Man.

Finally from the Big Island, World champion slackliner Alex Mason made his way through the Botanical Gardens of Hilo in a unique way.  Using roughly a mile of ropes and cables, along with 1-thousand feet of slacklines, Mason tricklined his way through the course and up Onomea Falls.  His latest project, "Red Bull Slackladder" is set to be released today.
