LAIE, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Hawaii played host to a different All-Star over the Fourth of July weekend.  Two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry spent the past few day in Laie, where Tuesday he wrapped up his Warriors Camp.

"I know they all have a passion for basketball, hopefully we give them some skills and drills and experiences to take home with them and they continue to get better," Curry said.

Not only did the three-time All-Star make the 2,400 mile trip from the Bay Area to the North Shore to school kids and teach them the nuances of the game, but also to get in touch with the Warriors fast-growing fan base in Hawaii.

"To be able to bring it here to Hawaii, to see our supporters down here, they get to watch all of our games with the time difference and all that, so to be able to come down and share and kind of embrace dub nation here in Hawaii, I think it's a really good experience."
