WAIMEA BAY, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Piles of rubbish were left behind at Waimea Bay after July Fourth Celebrations.
About a dozen volunteers spent their Tuesday cleaning up the mess left behind.
Volunteer Claudia Ferrari says this isn't the first time it's happened.
"We cleaned last year and I think this year was a lot more," Ferrari said. "It's kind of overwhelming right now. I don't know, if it's just the lack of concern."
Clean up crews said they could only bag a portion of the trash and plan to return later to clean up the rest.
