HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Ala Moana Center is kicking off a free fashion annex in its Mauka wing. The first display will be a collection of vintage aloha shirts that shows off the trends from the 1920's up until today. Two local pillars in the industry have put this together: Deb Mascia, the founder and owner of Muumuu Heaven and Dale Hope, the author of the coffee table book "The Aloha Shirt: Spirit of the Islands". Hope also helped with his family's local clothing company during the 1950s.

There will also be a collection of photographs depicting the fashion scene from Hawaii's own Duke Kahanamoku and the original Waikiki Boys.

You can check it out at Ala Moana Center daily from 12pm to 5pm for free. It's in the Mauka Wing, Mall level 2 near J.Crew.
