The Hawaiian Word of the Day is Kalaheo. Kalaheo is the name of two towns: one on the Southern shore of Kauai in Koloa, and the other on Oahu's East side in Kailua. Kalaheo is three words in one. Ka meaning the; la meaning day; and heo; meaning proud. Kalaheo, literally "the proud day," on Oahu is home to the Kalaheo High School Mustangs, and is located between Kailua town and Kaneohe Marine Core Base Hawaii.
