If you had a little too much to drink during July 4th festivities, AAA Hawaii will be offering its 'Tipsy Tow' service.

Callers simply tell AAA operators, "I need a Tipsy Tow" to receive a ride home. Just call 1-800-222-4357 for a free tow of up to five miles.

"We want motorists to be aware of the high crash risk from drinking and driving associated with the holiday and encourage them to think twice about getting behind the wheel if they have been drinking," said Liane Sumida, AAA Hawaii's General Manager.

Services will be available at 6 p.m. on July 4, until 6 a.m. July 5. Reservations are not accepted.

"It takes only one or two drinks to slow physical and mental skills and affect vision, steering, braking, judgment and reaction time," Sumida said.

This service is offered in Hawaii and some other AAA clubs, but it is not a nationwide program.
