HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Steady tradewinds will hold through Thursday, getting stronger for the weekend, possibly up to advisory levels.
A disturbance is due Wednesday night lingering through Thursday with unstable rain prone conditions. Most of the rain will favor Kauai and Oahu, heavy rain is possible with a slight chance for some thunderstorm activity.
The atmosphere will become more stable and much drier over the weekend, resulting in a decrease in rainfall.
Surf will remain below advisory levels along all shores at least for the next few days. The current south swell will slowly drop. The small but rough surf along east facing shores will slowly subside as the trade winds ease then rebuild along the east facing shores by the weekend and may reach advisory levels. No marine or weather advisories are in posted.
