KAAAWA (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Honolulu Fire department responded to a building fire in Kaaawa just after 7 o'clock Saturday morning to find the truck and garage of a two-story residence in flames.
Investigators say the vehicle appeared to have been intentionally set on fire.
A man and woman, both in their 50s, were on the second floor at the time of the fire and were able to escape without injury.
A family of five were also inside on the first floor at the time of the fire and were able to get out safely.
Five fire companies staffed with 15 personnel brought the fire under control and fully extinguished the blaze in less than an hour.
Damage estimates are not available at this time.
No arrests have been made as investigations continue.
