HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Skies are fair across the state.. with very little upstream moisture... but later tonight clouds will likely develop and they should bring in a few light windward showers..The winds continue to flow in at breezy speeds.. so the air quality is good with comfortable humidity levels.. and they're expected to hold for the rest of the week. So far today rainfall has been limited to a handful of light windward showers.. most leeward sides have been dry.. but later tonight we'll get some skimpy splashes for the usual spots..
Over the next 24 hours we're not expecting much rain at all.. if anything the projections call for mostly dry conditions.. with maybe 3-4 tenths of an inch for parts of Kauai... So we're in for another lovely night with steady tradewinds.. temperatures will be in the low 70's... Tomorrow should be just like today... a few morning splashes.. lots of leeward sunshine with temperatures approaching 90 degrees... luckily the tradewinds will help with the heat..
We're not expecting any significant changes anytime soon.. the breezy winds will hold through the middle of next week.. so the best weather on the planet will continue as well..
The south swell will slowly drop, but wave heights will remain overhead through Thursday. A small boost is rolling into north shores with head high sets. Another minor pulse is expected to hit south shores on Sunday.
HIGH SURF ADVISORY is posted for all south facing shores until 6am Thursday.
