HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

A southwest swell will peak on Wednesday, bringing surf up to advisory levels along south shores of all Hawaiian islands.

The National Weather Service has issued a High Surf Advisory for all south-facing shores until 6 p.m. Thursday.

Surf is expected to reach 5 to 8 feet along these shores.

Forecasters said to expect strong breaking waves, shore break and strong longshore and rip currents that will make swimming difficult and dangerous.
