HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A celebration of life is set for a veteran Honolulu firefighter who died last week in a training accident.
Services for Cliff Rigsbee will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Honolulu Fire Department training center on Valkenburgh Street.
Rigsbee died on June 16 after training on Jet Skis in rough surf off Diamond Head two days prior. He was initially transported to Straub Hospital in critical condition but later died.
Rigsbee joined HFD in 1996 and most recently worked at the Waikiki fire station. He was also a well-known and nationally-ranked triathlete who won several Tinman Triathlon competitions.
He was 63.
