Family owned restaurant re-opens with a new name and new look

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Formerly known as Pho My Lan, the newly renovated Rice Paper is located at 1160 Maunakea Street in Downtown Honolulu.  General manager and owner of Rice Paper, Quynh Mar Chong's parents owned and ran the previous restaurant for 10 years with the help of Quynh and her brothers and sisters.

After 10 years of running the restaurant, her parents wanted to take a step back so they could enjoy being grandparents, and at one pointed wanted to sell the restaurant.  After discussing it with her husband, the Chongs decided that they would want to keep the restaurant within the family,  because a large part of her and her siblings life growing up has always been at the restaurant.

Along with the new renovations and the reorganization of the business, they have also re-vamped the menu to fit for a new generation while enhancing the flavor of all their dishes to better service their long time customers.
