Light winds this morning will strengthen to moderate trades this afternoon. Passing showers will intermittently interrupt sunny skies.

High today in Honolulu will be 87 degrees.

High pressure north of the state will keep a moderate trade wind flow in place through early next week. Clouds and showers will focus primarily over windward and mauka neighborhoods, but an occasional shower will drift leeward mainly during the overnight and early morning hours.

Nice, new pulse from the south today. Waves will remain just below advisory level. Surf along east facing shores will be rough this week due to the locally strong trades. A small, out-of-season north- northeast swell fills in tonight.

National Weather Service surf forecast for today: 4-7 feet south, 3-6 feet west, 3-5 feet east, 1-3 feet north.

Small Craft Advisory for channels east of Molokai, Maalaea Bay, and coastal waters south and west of the Big Island.
