HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The first week of summer will have more of the best weather on the planet. Brisk tradewinds will rule through Friday, which means good air quality and comfortable humidity levels. Rainfall will favor windward areas, falling mostly at night and early in the morning with light to moderate totals. Leeward sides will only get a few passing showers along with heaps of sunshine.
A series of small to moderate southwest swells are due through Thursday, with surf expected to remain below advisory levels. Moderate south shore surf will peak today and Tuesday and again with the next pulse on Wednesday.
Small Craft Advisory until 6 PM Tuesday for Maalaea Bay, Pailolo Channel, Alenuihaha Channel, Big Island Leeward Waters, Big Island Southeast Waters.
