HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The breezy tradewinds will hold through the weekend. Showers will be light and favor windward areas with skimpy rainfall totals. Leeward sides will only see a few isolated showers. Increasing showers are due next week along with stronger tradewinds.
Advisory level, short-period, choppy surf along east-facing shores will continue through today. The swell from the south will continue to fade slowly through Saturday. A small northeast swell will be arriving today and last through most of next week. Also, expect a small new swell from the south-southeast to arrive Sunday night and hang around through the rest of the new week.
