Hawaiian Airlines is launching an online auction of empty first class seats between here and the West Coast. About 10 days before you fly coach, you'll get a chance to bid online on an unsold seat up front. Among other things this means Hawaiian will get a sense of what people are *willing* to pay for the new lie-flat options.

Avalon Development has an open house today for its 269-unit condo development at 7000 Hawaii Kai Drive. South Korean investors own it – Hawaiian Dredging was the contractor.

The Honolulu Charter Commission meets this afternoon at 3:30 at Honolulu Hale, and reviewing a proposal to rewrite the grounds for granting a zoning variance.

Health & Human Services is sending $2 million in federal funding for five health centers in Hawaii for oral health care – community health centers in Palama, Kalihi, Kahuku, Lanai City and Kona.

The Hawaii Fashion Incubator will have a shirt exhibit at Ala Moana, starting next month – and Crazy Shirts opens a new location in Pacific City, at Huntington Beach, California.
