HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu Police opened an attempted murder investigation after a teen in a stolen vehicle allegedly hit a police officer in his subsidized vehicle and then fled the scene.
The crash happened around 6:30 Friday morning near the intersection of King and Punahou Streets in the McCully area.
The teen suspect then drove away and was eventually arrested near Waiola and Pumehana Streets after hitting a second vehicle, police say. Three other people in his vehicle were also arrested.
Emergency responders say the police officer did not suffer any serious injuries.
