HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - For the second time in a month, bed bugs have been found at the Honolulu Police Department's headquarters on Alapai Street.
The bed bugs were found at HPD's Records and Identification Division, a police spokeswoman said.
Treatment for the bugs will start Thursday night.
Earlier this year, bed bugs were found by a federal inspector in a few chairs, after employees complained about bites.
A professional exterminator was brought in and treated the area. But the affected chairs were not thrown and more bugs were found this week in the same chairs and in another area.
