Bikeshare Hawaii looking for feedback on bike stations

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Bikeshare Hawaii is seeking input on where to place its 150 stations in Honolulu that will accommodate 1,400 bikes.

The major goal of the system – which will provide access across 7.2 miles in Honolulu – is to provide convenient mobility for all people in Hawaii. Stations will be accessible so that a customer never needs to worry about where to pick up or drop off a bike. Bikes are designed for 1- to 3-mile trips that will offer a cheaper, healthier and faster alternative to driving.

The public events will be held at the following locations and dates:

  • June 15 (3 p.m. to 6 p.m.) – Queen’s Beach in Waikiki
  • June 16 (3 p.m. to 6 p.m.) – Don Ho Park in Waikiki
  • June 17 (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.) – Bishop Square in Downtown Honolulu
  • June 18 (8 a.m. to 12 p.m.) – Kakaako Farmer’s Market at Ward Village
