HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The former executive director of an organization aimed at promoting adoption was sentenced Tuesday to 30 years behind bars for sexually assaulting two girls in 2011, the Honolulu prosecutor's office said.
In January 2015, Louis Martinez was found guilty of three felony counts of sex assault, one court of attempted sex assault, and two counts of misdemeanor sexual assault.
The victims were 16 and 11 years old at the time of the incidents.
Martinez, using the name David Louis, opened Heart Gallery Hawaii in 2005 and then became executive director of Florida-based Heart Gallery of America in 2009.
The organization encourages adoption of foster children.
