High surf advisory extended for south-facing shores

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A high surf advisory for south facing shores across the state has been extended until 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Surf is expected to reach heights of 5 to 8 feet.

The public is advised to exercise caution as strong breaking waves, shore break and strong currents can make swimming dangerous.
