HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police charged Jorge Cano Jr., who was arrested Wednesday evening, with multiple counts of sexual assault, assault, kidnapping and possession of weapons with a $1 million bail on Friday.
The 37-year-old was involved in numerous incidents in the recent weeks. On May 29, he allegedly sexually assaulted a woman at a Waialae Avenue home. Then on June 3 in Liliha, Cano allegedly shot a male acquaintance of the woman he assaulted in the abdomen, leaving him in serious condition.
After days of searching, police found Cano in a car near the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
Cano was also wanted for a $20,000 probation revocation warrant.
Following Cano's capture, the police and CrimeStoppers released a statement thanking the public for their assistance in Cano's arrest.
