WAIKIKI (HawaiiNewsNow) - Motorists in Waikiki should expect delays on June 10 and 12 as festivities for the 37th annual Pan-Pacific Festival will close portions of Kalakaua Avenue.
On Friday, June 10, Kalakaua Avenue will be closed from Lewers Street to Ulunio Avenue from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m where a Hoolaulea will take place from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
On Sunday June 12, Kalakaua Avenue will be closed from Saratoga Road to Kapahulu Avenue to 4:15 to 7 p.m for a parade that will begin at 5 p.m.
The festival's Hoolaulea and parade are expected to cause delays in the area. Motorists are advised to use alternate rides.
