HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The best weather on the planet will continue through Friday, with steady tradewinds, a few windward showers, abundant sunshine, and comfortable humidity levels with good air quality.
But an approaching disturbance is due over the weekend, with increasing clouds and showers. Some might be heavy, most of the moisture will favor windward neighborhoods.
A long period of advisory-level surf along south facing shores will begin as early as Thursday night into Friday and will continue through the weekend and beyond.
The surf will peak sometime between Saturday night and Sunday night near warning level, especially if the swell comes in slightly higher than anticipated.
A Small Craft Advisory is in effect for channels east of Molokai and coastal waters south and west of the Big Island.
