HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Swimmer Ryan Lochte said that he's ready to go to Rio. He is representing the U.S. in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for the 2016 summer Olympic games that will be held in August. Already, he has 11 Olympic medals in his possession.
Lochte believes that the Americans have a strong team this year, especially since longtime swimmer Michael Phelps decided to come out of retirement and compete for the second time. He said on Sunrise that the two push each other to be better competitors and he's glad that Phelps has joined the team.
Lochte has become a celebrity in his own right by making an appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman and on his own reality show called "What would Ryan Lochte do?" He was also named one of the sexiest men alive by People magazine.
