DLNR to hold public meetings on rising sea level adaptation

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

The Department of Land and Natural Resources announced on Monday that it is planning to hold a series of public informational meetings on the sea level rise adaptation in Hawaii.

DLNR said this is an opportunity for Hawaii residents to learn more about how rising sea levels can affect the island, as well as voice their concerns regarding this issue.

The first meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, June 29 at 6:30 p.m. at the DLNR boardroom located at 1151 Punchbowl street, room 132. 

Anyone with special needs requiring accommodations or assistance is asked to call 808-587-0377 at least four days before the meeting. For more information, visit the state's climate adaption website.
