HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Department of Public Safety opened registration for men and women interested in joining the State Sheriff Division.
Applicants must be a high school graduate; be able to demonstrate knowledge of English grammar, spelling and punctuation; have the ability to read and comprehend complex written material; write a clear, factual report; and have at least two years of work experience which demonstrates these abilities.
Chosen applicants will have to go through a physical ability test, written test and pre-employment assessment before scheduling an interview with the department.

3. There you will see the Sheriff Division recruitment links to the application forms for Hawaii, Maui, Kauai and Oahu.
Those who are interested have until June 17 to apply.
